Smart Travels Club is following COVID-19 restrictions for Canadians and visitors to the country.
VANCOUVER, British Columbia - eTravelWire -- The holidays are fast approaching as coronavirus cases continue to surge across the country, leaving many Canadians wondering if they should travel to visit family and friends or stay at home.
The Government of Canada outlined the top priority for the 2020 year is to protect Canadians from COVID-19 and reduce the spread of the disease in Canada. Several measures were introduced in March 2020, including prohibitions for non-essential travel from the United States and all other countries.
These measures include the requirement that all travellers quarantine for 14 days upon arrival to the country.
Per the last update, the world is taking a break as well. Over fifty countries are completely closed for travelling, and only citizens and residents may enter national borders. Some 92 countries are partially opened, meaning that entrance into the country may depend on the traveller's citizenship, point of origin, or other specific regulatory requirements. And 73 countries have no-travel restrictions on entry by air but are still monitoring the situation and may introduce different travel policies in place like mandatory testing or quarantines upon arrival. Five countries have announced a specific date for reopening, but individual entry requirements may still apply.
