SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. - eTravelWire -- South Seas is transforming into a Festive paradise this holiday season with a monthlong series of island-inspired celebrations, live entertainment and family-friendly activities culminating in a spectacular New Year's Eve celebration.

Festive Season Highlights

Dec. 5–6: Luminary Weekends

Celebrate the holidays Captiva-style as the Shops at South Seas light up with live music, holiday décor, and festive treats. Guests can enjoy Starbucks hot cocoa, red and green popcorn from Outfitters, and holiday cocktails, mocktails and cookies from Spirits & Provisions.

Dec. 12, 13, and 19: Boats in Lights at the Marina
One of the island's most cherished traditions returns with festive decorated boats, live music, holiday cocktails, s'mores at the fire pit and a hot cocoa station. Guests can also enjoy glow cornhole and pose for photos near giant illuminated "JOY" and "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" displays.

Dec. 20: Festive Kickoff Celebration
Holiday cheer fills the resort with a golf cart parade, the "Jolly Trolley," a reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, tree lighting and the opening of the marina stroll. Festivities include cookie and ornament decorating, letters to Santa, crafts, games, carolers and a visit from Santa himself.

Dec. 21–25: Daily Holiday Activities hosted by Recreation
Families can join in themed crafts, games and events including gingerbread house making, charcuterie and wine workshops, and a festive photo scavenger hunt. Live poolside music and Christmas Day celebrations add to the island magic.

Dec. 24: Christmas Eve Family Feast

Guests are invited to gather for a delicious family-style Christmas Eve dinner featuring antipasti, entrées, sides, desserts and wine specials. Pricing: $95++ per adult. Available exclusively to registered South Seas guests and Club Captiva members.

Dec. 26–30: Festive Week Fun
Throughout the resort, each day brings new surprises, from glow golf and fishing with Hawaiian Santa to karaoke, magic shows, movies under the stars and a silent disco on the Beach House restaurant patio.

Dec. 31: New Year's Eve at Beach House
Ring in 2026 with an unforgettable beachfront celebration featuring a DJ, fire dancer and bongo drummer, beach ball drop, fireworks, glow seating, a 360-photo booth and GlamBot. Guests will enjoy food and beverage offerings from Beach House and festive giveaways including glow necklaces, hats and trinkets.

Jan. 1–3: New Year's Weekend
Start the year with poolside music, crafts, balloon art, paint classes, a "Sip and Stroke" workshop and another dazzling magic show to close out the season.
