Kate Royse, Director of the STFC Hartree Centre, highlighted how Quantinuum's H-Series hardware will benefit scientists across different areas of research such as exascale computing algorithms, fusion energy development, and climate resilience. During the same month, Quantinuum achieved another milestone by becoming the first to achieve "three 9s" - 99.9% - two-qubit gate fidelity across all qubit pairs in a production device. This achievement enables fault-tolerant quantum computing and was immediately available to Quantinuum customers who rely on using the best quantum hardware and software to push the boundaries in areas such as materials development, drug discovery, machine learning, cybersecurity, and financial services.
Formerly known as Cambridge Quantum prior to its combination with Honeywell Quantum Solutions in 2021, Quantinuum has been one of the UK government's delivery partners since the launch of the National Quantum Technologies Programme in 2014.
