Project Expedition honors Travel Advisors who rose to the occasion in 2020
NEW YORK - eTravelWire -- Project Expedition hosted their first-ever Travel Advisor Choice Awards today. During their virtual event, they announced the winners that had been selected by thousands of votes from the Travel Advisor community.
The event was created by Project Expedition to bring the Travel Advisor community together to celebrate success, recognize hard work, spread positivity, and reward Travel Advisors during this challenging year. In October, Travel Advisors were asked to make nominations by sharing heartwarming stories that depicted the dedication and perseverance of Travel Advisors. The top 10 selected stories were then published on projectexpedition.com for the community to vote.
The top prize, a 3-day trip of England or Wales sponsored by Rabbie's, was won by Mark Elie of K&E Travel. Mark worked tirelessly to cancel, refund, and rebook thousands of his clients. While doing so, he also looked to serve his South Florida community by starting a food drive, feeding over a thousand families each week, and creating a facebook page for local restaurants providing outdoor dining, saving many of those restaurants from going out of business.
