BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - eTravelWire -- The Modernday Fitness Hall of Fame will induct its Inaugural 2023 class Saturday, with five new inductees. Each of the athletes being honored trained with retired NFL Player, Otis Leverette of Modernday Fitness, during their high school and collegiate careers.
The class includes New Orleans Saints Quarterback, Jameis Winston, Seattle Seahawks Michael Jackson, former New Orleans Saint, Christopher Johnson, Former UAB Linebacker Destin Challenger and Former Southern Nazarene University Basketball Guard, Olivia Chapman. The induction ceremony will be held during Modernday Nation Foundation's Sneaker Ball and Fundraising Gala.
Modernday Nation Foundation was created by Former UAB Defensive End Otis Leverette. Otis Leverette retired from the NFL and began his athletic training business, Modernday Fitness, in 2007. "We've had so many great athletes and seen so much success from both our male and female athletes. On Saturday night, we'll recognize just a few that have done so much in the community and in their post-sports careers." said founder Otis Leverette

The All-Star Gala including dinner, silent auction, and hall of fame induction will be held on Saturday, May 27. This weekend, former and current Modernday Fitness athletes will reconnect for a weekend that includes an MDF Alumni basketball game and family cookout.

Modernday Nation Foundation's mission strives to help athletes increase leadership skills, work ethic, and mental preparation. MDF Nation's holistic approach aims to improve athlete's longevity by educating them about injury prevention, NCAA eligibility requirements, strength & conditioning training, nutrition and hydration.
