It is with deep appreciation and warm wishes that we announce the retirement of Nish Patel, who will be concluding his remarkable career at the end of December 2025 and stepping into a well-earned chapter of rest and enjoyment.

LISLE, Ill. - eTravelWire -- This year marks Nish's 25th anniversary with Mayflower Tours—a milestone that reflects not only his longevity but also his unwavering commitment, visionary leadership, and the countless contributions he has made to our company and the travel industry.

Nish began his journey in travel back in 1987, and from the very beginning, his passion and drive were evident. After joining a tour operator in 1988, he quickly rose through the ranks to become Vice President of Operations.

In October 2000, Nish brought his talents to Mayflower Tours as Chief Information Officer, where he led the development of a custom-built reservation system that continues to serve us today. In 2004, Nish became Mayflowers Chief Operating Officer, overseeing everything from tour operations to pricing and yield management. His strategic insight and steady leadership earned him the role of President in 2016—a position he has held with distinction and grace.

Under Nish's guidance, Mayflower Tours was acquired by the Scenic Group in 2018. Since then, the company has flourished, tripling its revenue and expanding its reach, all while maintaining the heart and soul that Nish helped shape.

Beyond his professional achievements, Nish has been a pillar of his community. He has served on the boards of USTOA and NTA, and his love for travel has taken him across the globe for over 30 years.

But perhaps most importantly, Nish has always seen Mayflower not just as a company, but as a family. He often speaks of the incredible team here—their dedication, passion, and support. He never misses a chance to say that he could not have done it without the team.

As Nish prepares to enjoy his retirement and pension and he looks forward to taking some time to rest, reflect, and eventually explore new adventures. While we will miss his presence, his legacy will remain deeply woven into the fabric of Mayflower Tours.

Please join us in thanking Nish for his extraordinary service, his kindness, and his leadership. We wish him all the happiness and fulfillment in this next chapter of life.

Thank you, Nish. You will always be part of the Scenic and Mayflower family.
