World Travel Awards 2020 confirms hotel as exceptional accommodation choice as well as a safe destination in Thailand's premier beachside community.
HUA HIN, Thailand - eTravelWire -- The year 2020 has been unlike any in recent memory. Ways of life have undeniably changed for all throughout the world.
Within the hotel industry, the emergence of a global pandemic has further meant substantial changes in how hospitality can and should be provided.
One thing, however, hasn't changed: recognition of InterContinental Hua Hin Resort as a leading Thailand destination.
The latest confirmation comes via one of the industry's most esteemed programmes, the World Travel Awards. This year, the programme honours InterContinental Hua Hin Resort with two important accolades: 'Thailand's Leading Resort 2020' and 'Thailand's Leading Family Resort 2020'.
Michael Janssen, Area General Manager–Thailand South, acknowledges the awards' importance to his staff.
'We've been working hard at the resort not only to maintain already high standards in all operations,' says the GM, 'but also to implement new hygiene procedures. These awards tell us our efforts have been fully worthwhile, and they also inspire us to keep doing more.'

The hygiene procedures Janssen alludes to are among several initiatives recently developed by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in response to COVID-19, including 'IHG Clean Promise' encompassing comprehensive new health and safety protocols to support the wellbeing of all guests and colleagues.
Janssen continues, 'Along with providing superior facilities and outstanding service – as we've always done at InterContinental Hua Hin Resort – we also want to assure guests that we're being vigilant when it comes to hygiene, and that we'll continue to do so. We want guests to know they can visit us with confidence from now to the end of 2020, and then into 2021 and beyond.'
InterContinental Hua Hin Resort's recognition as an industry leader likewise owes to its upholding of IHG's 'True Hospitality' principles. These are a set of well-defined responsible business practices meant to ensure every guest feels welcome, respected and fully cared for.
