Columbus, MS — EnhDme, a provider of home safety and caregiver support products, has partnered with the Fall Prevention Foundation to expand access to fall prevention solutions for families across the United States.
Nearly 40,000 seniors lose their lives to falls each year in the U.S., with total annual deaths now exceeding 42,000. The partnership focuses on reducing these preventable incidents by improving safety inside the home.

The collaboration is rooted in the work of Steve Kerr, a physical therapist with over 30 years of experience helping older adults maintain mobility and independence. As President of the Fall Prevention Foundation, Kerr focuses on preventing falls before they happen.
"What drives us is not statistics. It is moments," said Kerr.
"Our goal is to give people their confidence back in their own home, along with their dignity and independence."
At the center of the Foundation's approach is the Safe Zone concept.
A Safe Zone is a setup of support placed in high-risk areas such as bedside and bathroom pathways. In many cases, one or two well-placed support poles improve safety and restore confidence.
When stable support is available at the moment it is needed, hesitation drops. Movement improves. Independence returns.
The Foundation also challenges a common belief. Falling is not a normal part of aging. Reduced movement leads to weakness and increased risk. With proper support, individuals move more, build strength, and regain control.

The Fall Prevention Foundation was recently awarded the Blue Impact Grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico, expanding its ability to deliver safety solutions to more communities.
