BATON ROUGE, La. - eTravelWire -- Henry Turner Jr.'s Listening Room Museum Foundation is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual (Neighbor) Hood Fest. The festival's focus is on building unity and attracting visitors by exploring the history of the city of Baton Rouge and Louisiana's unique and diverse cultural communities. It also has a film component that takes a look at industries and travel adventures offered in the state.
The 3rd Annual (Neighbor) Hood Fest will be held Saturday, July 18 from noon to 8:00pm at the EBRPL-Main Library located at 7711 Goodwood Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70806. It is family friendly and free to the public. The festival features live music and films, a Vendor's Village, Food Court, and Children's play. Features and shorts will be shown in the library, followed by filmmaker panel discussions. The Hot Dog Eating Contest returns. Entry forms and more information are available on the website.

Musical talent includes Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor and the Listening Room All-Stars, King Solomon and Ervin "Maestro" Foster and Dixie Rose. New to the festival are (Louisiana) Claude Hitt, David Comeaux and Rude.
The film component this year focuses on industries and adventure in Louisiana, with filmmakers Oscar Tickle and Charles Bush, who have produced The Search for "Swamp Cows," "Shrimp Gate" and "Music Dreams, An American Story." These documentaries are followed by Q&A's. Music video blocks from the 2025 Listening Room Film Festival are 'Made In Louisiana' and 'Listening Room Alumna.'
